Stop and Search resulting in an Arrest

East Sheen, Kew and North Richmond officers were out on a cross-cluster patrol when a MALE known to the Police was identified. The MALE has previously been seen in the local area where residents have highlighted of suspicious activities taking place believed in being the exchange of drugs. During initial interaction, the MALE attempted to get away from officers however he was tackled, placed on the ground and detained for a stop and search where where over 80 small bags were found containing Class B drugs as well as a large amount of cash. 

The MALE was subsequently arrested in relation to the offence where he was presented to custody to be charged for the items found during the search. Officers involved were extremely pleased with the outcome as they have been trying to speak to the MALE for a while and with the help of local residents and businesses, we were able to make this happen.
